Cáp bus chainflex® được phát triển và thử nghiệm để đặc biệt sử dụng liên tục trong các ứng dụng về xích dẫn cáp e-chain®. Tùy theo vật liệu vỏ ngoài và nguyên tắc thiết kế, cáp bus có thể chịu được các yêu cầu cơ học và bền trong nhiều môi trường khác nhau. Thiết kế điện được lựa chọn sao cho, một mặt, các thông số kỹ thuật điện của cáp bus được đảm bảo, và đồng thời việc bảo vệ khỏi tương thích điện từ (EMC) cũng được xem trọng. Các thông số về điện vẫn luôn được đảm bảo sự ổn định mặc dù phải chuyển động liên tục. Tuy nhiên, các đặc tính truyền dẫn thông tin trong hệ thống bus hoàn chỉnh không chỉ phụ thuộc vào loại cáp được sử dụng.
