iglidur A160 knife edge rollers - hygienic, durable and ideal for food applications

The iglidur A160 knife edge rollers have been specially developed for use in sensitive hygiene zones and impress with their outstanding material properties. Thanks to their food-grade quality in accordance with FDA and EU 10/2011 compliance, they are ideally suited for direct contact with food and meet the highest safety standards in the food industry.

The blue high-performance material is not only visually detectable, but also extremely resistant to chemicals. This makes the knife edge rollers perfect for applications with intensive and frequent cleaning cycles - for example in conveyor systems or packaging lines. They ensure reliable and smooth belt deflection even under demanding conditions.

Compared to conventional materials such as standard POM, the iglidur A160 rollers offer up to four times longer service life (tested at 0.5MPa and 0.6m/s with 304 stainless steel shaft). At the same time, it is an economical low-cost alternative to iglidur A250, especially at lower speeds and loads.

Another advantage: the knife edge rollers are completely lubrication-free and maintenance-free. This minimises the risk of contamination and ensures clean, sustainable operation.
