Dynamic loads caused by, e.g. vibrations and environmental impacts are major challenges in energy chain systems, among others in drilling rigs. In order to safely guide cables in hanging applications, igus has developed e-loop modular energy chain system - ideally suited for 3-dimensional applications. The e-loop combines the advantages of a plastic energy chain with those of a high-strength pull rope. Inside the chain, the rope transfers the pull force to the mounting brackets and the structure. The cables are thus kept completely relieved of strain. The modular energy chain made of high-performance plastic always enforces a defined bend radius and easily copes with vibration and impacts.
